Homgenaity should be promoted, but at the same time people should not be forced to do what they dont want to do. We are lucky enough to live in a country where we are able to express ourselves freely, but one cannot force acceptance especially when we live in a country that prides itself on, "freedom of speech" and "expression". Being accepting is a quality. Meaning that its something that one adapts with time, and inherits based off of passed experiences and their individual lifestyle. Not everyone chooses to follow the path of supporting differences. In a picture perfect world this would be the case, but its clear that the world is not quite that utopian vision.
Being forced to do something in society usually results in rebellion because people feel as if they dont have the gift of choice. We should promote diversity, however not everywhere in this world is similar to the United States and has that right.
